NATURE & THE BOOK AT BLOEDEL RESERVE
March 4-April 14 at Bloedel Reserve, 7571 NE Dolphin Drive, Open Tuesday – Sunday, 10 AM-4 PM; last entry is 90 minutes before closing. Access to the exhibition is included in the
admission price. Bloedel Reserve is pleased to present “Nature and the Book: 2025, a compelling exhibition showcasing the work of artists whose creative practices are deeply inspired by the natural world. This exhibition highlights the dynamic intersection between nature, art, and the printed page, exploring themes of sustainability, climate change, and the inherent beauty found in the environment.

GUIDED GARDEN WALKS WITH KIDIMU & BLOEDEL RESERVE
Join KiDiMu for guided garden walks at Bloedel Reserve each month! Meet in the North Parking Lot at the Reserve at 2:50 PM; walks begin at 3 PM and last for 1 hour. Walks with occur each month from March - October. Cost is $15 for up to 4 people. For a complete schedule and additional information, please visit

ISLAND-WIDE LITTER CLEANUP
April is Earth Month on the island, and one way we can show BI some love is by choosing a stretch of road and picking up the butts, cans and wrappers that hide in plain sight. DogEAR FESTIVAL 2025
April 4-6, 2025 at BIMA, 550 Winslow Way E.
 DogEar is BIMA’s festival of all things related to artists’ books and printmaking, and a joyous celebration of our major artist’s books exhibition, Power of the Presses. This three-day festival will feature:
Presentations by Elizabeth Ajunwa, Mare Blocker, Jenie Gao, and more; Bushwick Book Club Concert; BIMA's 2nd Edible Book Competition;
Letterpress Printing with Amos Kennedy Jr.; Storytime with Mare; Drop-in Art Projects; St. Rita’s Traveling Bookmobile; Black Box Video Room: "What is an Artist's Book?"; Self-serve Typewriter Poetry; Film; Music AND MORE!

KIDS’ WALK: WHAT’S THE BUZZ?
April 9 from 10:30 a.m. to noon at Bloedel Reserve, 7571 NE Dolphin Drive. $15 for members, $20 for non-members. What’s the Buzz is a discovery learning walk for kids about bees and flower structures. Spring Break is the perfect time for a fun exploration of the wonders of pollinators and how they do it on the Reserve. Led by Certified Teacher and Bloedel Reserve Horticulturist Ann Mackey, parents and caregivers may accompany their child or enjoy a walk on their own while Ann leads this special Next Generation Science Standards-aligned nature and science tour for 2nd- 4th graders (ages 9-11)

SUSTAINABLE BAINBRIDGE PRESENTS THE REFASHION SEWDOWN SHOWCASE
April 27, 2025, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at Bainbridge Island Museum of Art. $ 10. Arrive for the appetizers, stay for the grand unveiling. Artists will have participated in an all-day sewing blitz using a curated box of clean scrap pieces, upholstery samples, and deadstock textiles to create upcycled apparel. Students will have redesigned old t-shirts and jeans to create a brand new ensemble.  Marvel at their models as they descend BIMA's grand staircase and walk the runway in their inspirational outfits. 6th ANNUAL BIDDLE MEMORIAL GOLF TOURNAMENT
April 28, 2025 from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Wing Point Golf & Country Club, 811 Cherry Ave. Price varies. Golf for Good! Join the Troy & Baden Biddle Foundation for lunch, cocktails, and dinner + auction. All proceeds support local youth sports and wellness programs and also fund the Biddle Memorial Scholarships - given each year to Bainbridge Island graduating high school students who have made contributions to youth sports and athletics in the form of leadership, mentorship, sportsmanship and/or ambassadorship. Now in its 6th year, this annual tournament has become a beloved community celebration and is sure to be the MOST fun you'll ever have on a Monday! Find out more information here.

PICKLE PALOOZA
Sunday, June 1 from 1-5 p.m. at the Founders Courts at Battle Point Park, 11299 Arrow Point Dr NE. There is a nominal registration fee. Pickleball event for high school and middle school students, sponsored by Bainbridge Island Pickleball and Bainbridge Parks and Rec. There will be both tournament play and round-robins for all levels of play. Spots are limited;

PUGET SOUND CLEAN AIR AGENCY ART CONTEST
Now through June 25, 2025. Share your passion for art and the environment!  Enter the Creative Climate Action art contest for a chance to have your artwork featured in the Puget Sound Clean Air Agency’s Comprehensive Climate Action Plan. Help us combine art and science to foster greater understanding and engagement for climate in the Puget Sound region.  Choose any art form to create original artwork in one of three climate action categories. KITSAP STRONG FUTURE FOCUSED ACADEMY
Free summer program for students entering 6th grade in fall 2025 - Register now for the Future Focused Summer Academy! Students who are entering sixth grade in fall 2025 will participate in this two-week program to learn self-regulation skills, mindfulness, goal setting, and hope as they explore interests, strengths, and career and future pathways.
