About Title I and Learning Assistance Program (LAP):
- Title I is a federally funded educational program. Students are eligible for inclusion in this program based on a combination of data, including teacher/parent recommendations, scores on state assessments and district diagnostic tests, prior service in the program. Title I works closely with parents, providing outreach and support, to strengthen the partnership of academic support to students in the program.
- Learning Assistance Program (LAP) is a state funded program for students who score below standard for his/her grade level on the statewide assessments and who are identified in the approved plan to receive services.
In addition, the Bainbridge Schools Foundation provides staff and supply budget support to sustain these remediation programs.
- Blakely, Odyssey, Homeschool, Ordway and x̌alilc (Halilts) support math and reading.
- Sakai and Woodward support reading, language arts and/or math.
